Tranexamic Acid (TXA) for EMS Providers

SAFD is participating in a wavier from the CDPHE that allows it's paramedics to administer TXA in cases of traumatic hemorrhage, or an OB complication with severe and uncontrolled post-partum hemorrhage.
The waiver process has responsibilities of the provider beyond that of knowing indications, contraindications, and correct dosing.
Providers must be aware of their reporting requirements of a CDPHE waiver, what must be recorded in the ePCR, what must be reported to the Medical Director, and what must be reported to the state.
