This short presentation deals with the differences of a standard blood draw for medical use, and how that compares to a blood draw requested by Law Enforcement for legal use.
While often these samples are collected by approved or contracted phlebotomists who are called to the hospital, we are occasionally asked to assist Law Enforcement with obtaining this sample in the field.
It's our hope that this short course will help you understand the differences, and specfic care that needs to be taken with each sample.
