This class is designed to give the EMT a fundamental knowledge of:
- albuterol administration
- indications and contraindications for use
- how to utilize capnography to identify cases of bronchoconstriction versus other respiratory cases
This short presentation deals with the differences of a standard blood draw for medical use, and how that compares to a blood draw requested by Law Enforcement for legal use.
While often these samples are collected by approved or contracted phlebotomists who are called to the hospital, we are occasionally asked to assist Law Enforcement with obtaining this sample in the field.
It's our hope that this short course will help you understand the differences, and specfic care that needs to be taken with each sample.
